It’s been 11 days since we bid adieu to 2015, and what a year it was! Everything that led to this little dream of mine becoming even the most infant of realities, came in 2015 and for that, I am ever grateful!!
2016 is going to be a GREAT year! I am finally taking a dream, MY dream, and rendering from my visions my own business. It’s not going to happen overnight, I’m not going to wake up one morning and have it all. Work most DEFINITELY needs to be done. In order to be held accountable for what I want, what I NEED to succeed, I’m putting them out there for all the world to see.
- Complete my branding. I’m not just talking about a website. I mean the whole nine yards- logo, social media banners, business cards, product packaging. I’m ready to introduce Lemons, Lace and Lollipops in all its glory!
- Officially drop my Etsy shop. That’s right ladies and gents there is more to LL&L than just a blog! This DIY girl will be debuting wall art, furniture accessories, and more! But before I upload pictures of my projects, I need to have my branding package complete. (Hence goal #1 🙂 )
- Take a photography class. Everyone who knows me well knows how much I love my camera (and my gallery wall) I have the eye, but lacking on the knowledge.
- Purchase the KNK Force so I can make my list of projects (for my Etsy shop) a reality!
- Redesign my space. From the desk to the chair to the inspiration and images I want framed above my workspace. I need a nook that is mine where I can separate family from “work” (Sorry DH, but your “under construction” computer tower has GOT to go! LOL)
- Blog, blog, blog! I need to blog more. I’m always concocting something in the kitchen or doing some craft/ DIY project around the house, so there is no excuse not to share with all of you. This blog is the foundation to my vision and I need to become more disciplined in using it to its fullest potential. Y’all need to hold me accountable! Go ahead and call me out if you don’t see a post in a week, I won’t mind. In fact, you’ll be helping me!
- Use social media! For years I have been anti-Facebook, until 3 months ago when a little birdie (several actually) convinced me it would be the best thing I could do for my budding business. Now I need to step out of my shell and use it!! Join groups, ask questions and LEARN!!
So there they are, my goals for 2016. Thank you to ALL that have showed your support over the past 3 months (especially my DH) as I finally took this giant leap. It is humbling. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for me and the business I call “my baby”. I’m looking forward to sharing the ride with y’all! Now buckle up, cause 2016…I’m coming for you!!
